Placed on the Zambezi river,Lake Kariba, Harare is a fresh water lake and is a popular tourist attraction in Harare. The lake extends from the wall of the dam for about 290 km and measures 42 km at its widest point. Hemmed on all sides by mountains and forests, Lake Kariba, Harare is dotted with small islands. The lake borders the Matasudona National Park which is a large reserve of different species of wild flora and fauna.

But if you wish to see the tiger fish, visit the lake in the months of September and October.
